love that stuff...

When I saw Stevie Wonder in Concord a few weeks back, he got the crowd to engage in a spontaneous call and response of "make my funk the p-funk, i want my funk uncut, make my funk the P.Funk, i wants to get funked up."

Do not attempt to adjust your radio....

Can you imagine putting some doobie in your funk?

There are some good P-Funk videos on youtube.

I saw RUN DMC back in the early 80's at North Hampton or Amherst Mass. It was really good at a small venue - was a very white crowd which I found pretty interesting/ironic at the time - it was a bit Surreal.

Public Enemy with Primus at Kaiser while the hills were burning in Oakland - that was crazy.

Primus went straight from opening that tour for Public Enemy to opening for Rush. Talk about cross-over . . .

Years were fuzzy for me - because I saw the PE show in Oakland and then went back east and saw them open for Rush (my good pal has been their manager for over 20 years, so I've seen more Les/Primus shows than I can count)

Googling shows:
Primus opened for Rush in 1992 during the Roll The Bones tour and again in 1994 during the Counterparts Tour.
